Detroit Dark Red beets can be direct seeded in the garden as soon as the soil is workable in spring, or in late summer for a fall harvest. They will produce the best roots in full sun, but can tolerate part shade. Roots are ready to harvest in about 55 days. 2 gram packet contains about 80 seeds.
